A decorrere dal 24 Agosto 2011 a Venezia viene introdotta la tassa di soggiorno.

L’importo per le strutture 3 stelle è pari a 3,00 Euro al giorno per persona fino ad un massimo di 5 notti (consecutive) per i periodi di alta stagione. Sono esenti bambini fino al decimo anno di età, persone che assistono degenti, 1 persona ogni 25 per assistenza gruppi (capogruppo o autista). Riduzioni sono applicate per i periodi di bassa stagione e per i minori compresi tra i 10 e i 16 anni. Ricordiamo che il prezzo finale non ricomprende la tassa di soggiorno dovuta all’Amministrazione comunale il cui onere è dovuto all’ospite.

We would like to inform you that an Overnight Accommodation Tax is imposed in Venice from August 24th, 2011. The amount of the above fee for 3-star hotels is euro 3,00 per person per night, for a maximum of 5 nights stay consecutives for the periods of high season. Para los hoteles de 3 estrellas es de 3,00 euros por día por persona, hasta un máximo de 5 noches (consecutivas) para la temporada alta. Los niños son gratis hasta el décimo año de edad, son gratis las personas que asisten a los pacientes, son gratis una persona cada 25 personas (guia o conductor). Los descuentos se aplican para la temporada baja y para los menores entre 10 y 16 años. Hay que recordar que el precio final no incluye el impuesto y la carga de la que se debe a los huéspedes.

ACQUA ALTA

Acqua alta high waters; in Italian, is the term used in Veneto for the exceptional tide peaks that occur periodically in the northern Adriatic Sea. The phenomenon occurs mainly between fall and spring. The main winds involved are the scirocco, which blows northbound along the Adriatic Sea, and the bora, which has a specific local effect due to the shape and location of the Venetian lagoon.

The flooding caused by the acqua alta is not uniform throughout the city of Venice because of several factors, such as the varying altitude of each zone with respect to the conventional sea level, its distance from a channel, the relative height of the sidewalks (fondamenta), the presence of full parapets (which act as dams) along the proximate channel, and the layout of the sewer and water drainage network (which acts as a source for the flooding, as it is directly connected with the lagoon).

"Very intense" events warrant alerting the whole population, which is accomplished by sounding a dedicated system of sirens located throughout the city.

Check forecast

To allow pedestrian circulation during floods, the city installs a network of gangways (wide wood planks on iron supports) reproducing the main urban paths. This gangway system is generally set at 120 cm above the conventional sea level, which can result in partial or complete flooding when higher tides occur.

Il termine acqua alta è un'espressione veneziana, poi mutuata dall'italiano, che indica il fenomeno dei picchi di marea particolarmente pronunciati che si verificano regolarmente nel periodo autunnale-primaverile, quando si combina con i venti di scirocco che impediscono il regolare deflusso delle acque, o di bora, che ostacolano invece localmente il deflusso delle lagune e dei fiumi del litorale veneto.

L'allagamento causato dall'acqua alta non è omogeneo in tutta la città di Venezia e dipende da vari fattori: le differenze altimetriche delle singole zone rispetto allo zero mareografico; la distanza da rii e canali; l'altezza delle rive e delle fondamente; la presenza o meno di parapetti pieni lungo le fondamente; la dislocazione dei tombini di scolo, che, essendo collegati direttamente ai canali, agiscono come sorgenti di allagamento.

Qualora il livello previsto eguagli o superi i 110 cm, con circa tre ore di anticipo sull'arrivo del picco di marea entra in funzione un sistema di sirene d'allarme posizionate in punti strategici, in grado di allertare l'intera popolazione.

Nei periodi di maggior frequenza del fenomeno si predispone un sistema di passerelle, ovvero tavole di legno appoggiate su supporti in ferro che creano percorsi "asciutti" per i principali snodi della città, garantiti fino ad un livello di marea di +120 cm, oltre il quale alcune passerelle potrebbero iniziare a galleggiare.

Far from being a pedantic list of things to see, the tour will have an amusing, communicative character, stimulating conversation among the partecipants, and will include a stop for drinks with your tour guide in a typical venetian pub or club, where you will get a glimpse of how real venetians live.

The Hotel Belle Epoque is located in the centre of Venice just a few minutes from St. Marc Square (vaporetto - waterbus n° 1 or 2 along the Grand Canal). All its rooms have private facilities, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, air conditioning and are furnished in a typical venetian style. A panoramic elevator will take you up to the floor to your room. At a walking distance the train station Santa Lucia and car/bus terminal Piazzale Roma.

Information about the rooms
All the rooms, as the whole hotel, were completely restored in 2004 and now offer to our guests a tipycal ambience who dates back to 1700. The furniture recalls the venitian style in two colours: red or green. All the rooms are equipped with the latest comforts: soundproof, bathrooms in white marble with shower, air conditioning, satellite television, safe.

Information about the area
The Hotel Belle Epoque overlooks one of the main and most important streets, Lista di Spagna, and is surrounded by shops and restaurants of any kind. Its favourable position allows you to reach in a short time Ponte di Rialto or Piazza San Marco by foot or by "vaporetto" (water-bus). The stops for the vaporetto is at 100 m from the hotel. Other water-buses e.g. to Lido (beach) or Murano island are leaving from here.

L'Hotel Belle Epoque è situato nel centro storico di Venezia a pochi minuti da Piazza San Marco e dal Ponte di Rialto (vaporetto linea 1 e 2).
Dispone di stanze in stile settecentesco tutte dotate di servizi privati, TV satellite, telefono e aria condizionata. Un ascensore panoramico esterno vi condurrà al piano della vostra camera. L'hotel è facilmente raggiungibile dalla stazione ferroviaria Santa Lucia e da Piazzale Roma (Terminal auto e bus e parcheggi).

Le camere, come tutto l'hotel, sono state completamente restaurate nel 2004 ed ora accolgono gli ospiti con un arredamento in stile settecentesco con tappezzerie in colore rosso oppure verde che richiama il classico stile veneziano. Naturalmente i comforts sono i più moderni: insonorizzazione,bagno privato in marmo bianco con doccia, aria condizionata, televisore con satellite, cassaforte.

L'hotel Belle Epoque e' situato in una delle zone più centrali della citta' e si affaccia su Lista di Spagna una delle piu'importanti vie di Venezia che arriva fino a Piazza San Marco passando per il Ponte di Rialto. Molti sono i negozi di ogni genere e ristoranti che rendono la zona particolarmente vivace. A 100 metri dall'hotel le fermate dei vaporetti per tutte le direzioni: Ponte di Rialto, Piazza San Marco, Lido (spiaggia), isola di Murano, Piazzale Roma, Tronchetto (Porto di Venezia). A 200 metri la stazione ferroviaria Santa Lucia.
